This volume is the transcribed proceedings of the Conference on Earth Observations and Global Change Decision Making, held in Washington, D.C., on 23-24 October 1990 and hosted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM). The principal conference objectives were to review the status on global-change studies and to foster collaboration on global-change issues between scientists and policymakers. Participants were from both the public and private sectors, representing the government, industry, media, research institutes, and academia.
