Minerals yearbook, 1992: Colorado. Annual report

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7074847
In 1992, Colorado's nonfuel mineral production was valued at about $384 million, an increase of more than 13% from the value of production reported to the U.S. Bureau of Mines (USBM) for 1991. The continued effects of an economic slowdown on metal values were evident for copper, gold, lead, molybdenum, silver, and zinc. Significant increases were noted in the value of production of cement, gold, gypsum, construction and industrial sand and gravel, and crushed and dimension stone. Modest increases in values were noted for clays, lime, and Grade-A helium. Both production and value dropped significantly for copper, lead, and zinc.
