Compilation of data for potted subassembly XX08

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/707409· OSTI ID:707409
An irradiated, 61-element, instrumented LMFBR subassembly identified as XX08 was destructively investigated for fuel-bundle distortion by potting, a technique that embeds and permanently fixes the fuel elements in a solid matrix. After being potted, the subassembly was sectioned, and the sections were polished. Element and spacer-wire locations were digitized from enlarged photographs to better quantify the bundle distortion. This report includes the section photographs as well as the digitized coordinates of the elements and spacer wires. 13 figures.
