Solar absorption system for space cooling and heating

The feasibility of using a solar absorption refrigeration cycle for space cooling and heating is analyzed. Working mixtures considered are NH/sub 3/-H/sub 2/O and H/sub 2/O-LiBr. The properties of the cycle used for cooling and as a heat pump system are discussed with the aid of flow diagrams. Results of a thermodynamic analysis of the cycle are graphically presented. The H/sub 2/O-LiBr system is concluded to be the most effective and feasible in principle.
