Standard test method for performance characteristics of lubricating greases in ball bearings and elevated temperatures

A method is described for evaluating the ability of a grease to provide adequate lubrication for extended periods of ball bearings operating under light loads at high speeds and elevated temperatures. The apparatus and procedure are described in detail. Test apparatuses with various loads are presented diagrammatically in the appendix as are graphs showing the test results for failure times for certain standard greases.
