The traveler visited the construction site of the four CANDU reactors Darlington generating station and participated in a lively workshop on iodine chemistry in reactor safety by presenting technical papers and chairing sessions. In addition, an invited paper entitled Chemistry and Mass Transport of Iodine in Containment'' was given at the Nuclear Reactor Severe Accident Chemistry Symposium of the Third Chemical Congress of North America.
