Absolute and relative cross sections for (p,n) reactions with production of isomers in silver isotopes

Excitation functions for the reactions /sup 104/ Pd(p,n)/sup 104//sup m//sup ,//sup g/ Ag, /sup 105/ Pd(p,n)/sup 105/ Ag, /sup 106/ Pd(p,n)/sup 106//sup m/ Ag, /sup 108/ Pd(p,n)/sup 108//sup g/ Ag, and /sup 110/ Pd(p,n)/sup 110//sup m//sup ,//sup g/ Ag have been measured at bombarding-proton energies up to 9 MeV. The experimental cross sections for excitation of the isomeric pairs /sup 104//sup m//sup ,//sup g/ Ag and /sup 110//sup m//sup ,//sup g/ Ag agree with the predictions of the statistical theory with a nuclear moment of inertia equal to approx.0.75 of the rigid-body moment of inertia. The measured half-life of /sup 104//sup m/ Ag is 27.6 +- 0.5 min.
