Spectroscopic diagnostics of tritium recycling in TFTR

Spectroscopic measurements of tritium Balmer-alpha (T[sub [alpha]]) emission from a fusion plasma are presented. A Fabry--Perot interferometer is used to measure the H[sub [alpha]], D[sub [alpha]], T[sub [alpha]] spectrum in the current D--T experimental campaign on TFTR and the contributions of H, D, and T are separated by spectral analysis. The T[sub [alpha]] line was measurable at concentrations T[sub [alpha]] /(H[sub [alpha]]+D[sub [alpha]]+T[sub [alpha]]) down to 2%.
