Chemistry control by trapping in a liquid lithium system

This paper reviews the effectiveness of a hot trap containing zirconium and titanium gettering foil, and a cold trap used for impurity removal from liquid lithium in a forced convection test loop. Titanium was the preferable getter. Continuous cold trap operation resulted in enhanced corrosion. 2 refs.
