Spectra and angular distributions of neutrons from the reactions /sup 94/Zr(p,n)/sup 94/Nb, /sup 119/Sn(p,n)/sup 119/Sb, and /sup 122/Sn(p,n)/sup 122/Sb have been measured for proton energies 6--9 MeV with a 1-MeV step in the range of angles from 30 to 150/sup 0/. The measurements were made by the time-of-flight method. The results show that in the integrated spectra there is a contribution from nonequilibrium processes for proton energies above 7 MeV. Means of separating the equilibrium part of the neutron spectrum are discussed. The data obtained on level density are compared with calculations in the back-shifted Fermi-gas model.
