Polarization of the protons has been measured in the reaction ..gamma..p ..-->.. p..pi../sup 0/ in the range of pion-emission angles 76--81/sup 0/ c.m.s. at photon energies 0.7--1.4 GeV. The experimental results are compared with the results of the phenomenological analysis of Metcalf and Walker.
