The heavy-top-quark contribution to electroweak radiative corrections is studied through the {ital M}{sub {ital W}-}{ital M{ital Z}} relation in the framework of the standard SU(2){times}U(1) theory. The latest data on the {ital W}- and {ital Z}-boson masses seem to indicate, though still at the 1{sigma} level, that the nondecoupling terms proportional to {ital m}{sub {ital t}}{sup 2} or ln m{sub t}, which are a characteristic feature of theories with masses generated by spontaneous symmetry breakdown plus large Yukawa couplings, have to exist whatever value the Higgs-boson mass takes.
