Gas-cleaning technology for high-temperature, high-pressure gas streams: 1984 annual report: Interim report

This report presents the results of work completed in 1984 under EPRI Contract RP 1336-1 on the evaluation and development of hot gas cleanup technology for pressurized, fluidized-bed combustion (PFBC). Reported are results of tests on both the SiC candle and woven ceramic bag filters. Tests were conducted under simulated PFBC conditions using redispersed ash in an existing subscale facility with single filter elements. A filter baghouse facility for long-term materials durability testing is also described.
