Four-body {sup 6}Li({alpha},2{alpha}){ital pn} breakup cross sections were measured from 77 to 119 MeV. Spectral functions {ital S} for {ital k}=0.1 fm{sup {minus}1} (where {h bar}{ital k} is the {ital p}-{ital n} relative momentum) were deduced. Those obtained from the 89 to 119 MeV data are internally consistent, and agree with the {ital k} dependence of {ital S} found in earlier studies of the ({alpha},2{alpha}){ital pn} and ({ital p},{ital p}{alpha}){ital pn} reactions on {sup 6}Li. However, the {ital S} found at 77 MeV was low, which may indicate distortion effects. Throughout this energy region, the four-body breakup cross section at low {ital p}-{ital n} excitation follows the {alpha}-{alpha} elastic scattering cross section as the latter changes by a factor of 50, showing that quasifree scattering is the dominant process.
