The manual is designed for the plant manager or others with the ability to initiate corporate investment decisions. It is not intended exclusively for the expert engineer or attorney, although both might benefit from it. Rather, the manual provides the manager with detailed, timely and understandable materials which might serve as the basis of a cogeneration feasibility study. The book is divided into the following five sections: regulation of cogeneration and small power production; cogeneration and the environment; engineering and cogeneration; cogeneration contracts; and finance and cogeneration. Eighteen major subsections have been abstracted separately for inclusion on the Energy Data Base.
