This patent describes a heave-restrained platform. It comprises a floating structure having a central buoyancy means and at least three outrigger columns connected in substantially rigid relationship to one another, the central buoyancy means having supports for upper termination of production risers, means for imparting sole vertical tension, each riser being comprised on plural concentric tubular structural and pressure containment elements connecting a hydrocarbon well on the floor of the body of water with a pressure containment means located on the floating structure; and at least three lateral anchor lines.
