Molten carbonate fuel cell research

Conference ·
OSTI ID:7026645

The emphasis of this project is to develop new electronically conductive ceramic materials that are chemically and polymorphically stable in molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) environments and to test these materials as MCFC components (i.e., electrodes and separator sheets). this quarter, the electric conductivity of undoped and niobium-doped LiFeO{sub 2} and undoped MnO was measured. Also, methods to increase the surface area of the cathodes is discussed. 4 refs., 3 figs.
