The use of many-body perturbation theory to calculate photoionization cross sections of atoms including electron correlations is discussed. Results are presented for neutral argon, zinc, iron, and chlorine. Attention is called to the effects of resonances such as those due to 3d ..-->.. 4p excitations in zinc and iron which may affect recombination coefficients. The process of double photoionization is discussed and cross sections for neon and argon are presented.
