A series of six iron-base alloys containing different levels of Cr and Al have been exposed to a low P/sub 02/ (10/sup -18/ atm), high P/sub S2/ (10/sup -6/ atm) environment. The results indicate that the high Al-containing alloys have poor corrosion resistance. A critical Cr/Al ratio seems to be essential for good corrosion resistance. 7 refs.
