The Toxics Directory lists and describes selected references and resource agencies. It is organized as follows: Section I contains the names, addresses, phone numbers, and descriptions of organizations and programs than can provide information or assistance concerning the health effects of toxic substances. These programs range from local to national, with emphasis on California-based resources. The next four sections list references. The references are not intended to be exhaustive but rather have been selected by the scientific staff of the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment as being the most important references on their subjects. The final section of the directory provides supplemental information on some of the programs in Section 1, lists of county agencies, and laboratory information.
