New results of the ACO storage ring free electron laser. Interim report

To improve the gain in the Orsay storage ring free electron laser experiment, the seventeen periods permanent magnet undulator was modified into an optical klystron. The author report the laser induced bunch lengthening and the gain measurement on the optical klystron and compare these to the undulator case.
