Cracking catalysts with octane enhancement
This patent describes a catalytic cracking catalyst. It comprises: a primary, large pore high silica zeolite exchanged to a low soda level which is mixed in a matrix. The primary large pore zeolite being present in a catalytically effective amount for catalytic cracking and in an amount up to 80% by weight of the total mixture and where the primary large pore zeolite is not a Y-faujasite nor an X-faujasite. Also described is a cracking catalyst according to the first claim, wherein the primary, large pore zeolite Beta, ZSM-20, or mixtures thereof. Also described is a cracking catalyst according to the first claim, wherein the catalyst further comprises a secondary zeolite in an amount of 1--30% by weight of the catalyst selected from the group consisting of X-faujasite, Y-faujasite, ferrierite, mordenite and mixtures thereof and wherein the amount of the primary, large pore zeolite is equal to or greater than the amount of the secondary zeolite.
