Gas burner flame temperature amplifier
Patent

R. T. Keating's design increases combustion flame temperatures to maximize heat transfer in a partially aerated atmospheric gas-burner heater, such as those used in commercial deep-fat fryers. A second portion of secondary air is preheated in tubes extending up the flue stack. The preheat tubes loop over and reverse direction at the top of their extension, returning to a location directly behind the combustion-chamber heating tube for injection of the preheated secondary air into the combustion chamber.
