This book is well written and, by and large, accurate. It presents simple problems about data and solves them by using tests of significance. A spot check indicates that the solutions are correct. It is definitely superior to many books of this type. For those who wish to answer all questions arising in the chemical laboratory or plant with the simple dichotomy significant or nonsignificant, this book provides an answer for many practical situations. Those who wish to probe a little deeper by asking questions about the data-questions that are often disturbing - will require an analysis that goes beyond a simple dichotomy.
