Dynamic special nuclear materials control and accountability system prototype

A Dynamic Special Nuclear Material Control and Accountability System (DYMCAS) prototype terminal was designed and built at the Y-12 Plant. It resolved numerous questions involved in a real-time inventory system. It operated for four months without problems. The system maximized the use of automatic data entry and minimized sources of error. The results of this project will be used to guide the final plant-wide DYMCAS.
