This book presents the papers given at a symposium on MHD generators. Topics considered at the symposium included MHD power generation testing, liquid metal MHD power conversion systems, parameters of MHD generator operation at changing loads, MHD retrofits, ceramic burners, seed recovery, recent ANL data on MHD fouling, thermal radiation in MHD design applications, combustors, diagnostic techniques, coal flow splitting control and measurement, power conditioning, and current transfer to copper cathodes in an MHD plasma flow under high thermal fluxes.
