Recording characteristics of double-layered TbFeCo disk

In this article the authors report on changes in the recording characteristics of TbFeCo double-layer film magnetooptical disks, which are suited to high-speed, high-density recording, with changes in the coercivity of each of the film layers at room temperature (RT). Each of the TbFeCo layers were prepared by sputtering using targets with different compositions. The temperature dependence of the switching field was determined through Hall effect measurements, and the switching field for disk samples was measured using the Kerr effect.
