Molecular orbital studies of the bonding in heavy element organometallics
This progress report contains highlights of research projects in actinide chemistry. Projects covered are bonding in Np, Pu, and transplutonium organometallic compounds, applications of the discrete variational X{alpha} method to actinide chemistry, ab initio calculations on actinide molecules, and experimental comparisons of organoactinide and organotransition metal chemistry. Also included is brief discussions on budgets, funding, invited papers and invited presentations. (JL)
