The predevelopment and present-day (1980) flow conditions of the Floridan aquifer system in southeast Georgia and adjacent parts of Florida and South Carolina were studied and described as part of the Survey's Regional Aquifer-System Analysis (RASA) program. Computer simulation was used to analyze the flow system and to evaluate the development potential of the aquifer system. Ground-water quality, including saltwater intrusion caused by development is also described.
