The Combe Fill South Landfill National Priorities List Site is located on the township boundary between Chester and Washington Townships in Morris County, New Jersey. Until the remedial activities are complete, there is a potential public health threat from inhalation of gases produced within the waste pile, consumption of trout from Trout Brook, incidental ingestion and/or dermal absorption of surface water, dermal absorption and ingestion of ground water used in homes, and inhalation of volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) volatilized from contaminated ground water during household used.
