DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/6994682· OSTI ID:6994682
The US Department of Energy's (DOE) Resource Assessment Program develops a scientific understanding of and information about the availability and characteristics of renewable energy resources, such as solar energy, used by renewable energy technologies. The program is currently focused on solar radiation resource assessment for the United States. DOE's lead center for solar radiation resource assessment is the Solar Radiation Research and Metrology Branch (SRRMB)* in the Solar Electric Research Division at the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI). Work is performed at SERI under the Solar Radiation Resource Assessment Project (SRRAP) in the SRRMB. This annual report summarizes the activities and accomplishments of the SRRAP at SERI for the period 1 October 1988 through 30 September 1989, fiscal year (FY) 1989. 27 refs., 15 figs., 1 tab.
