This paper reports that the making principle of horizontal well synthetic seismograms is the same as that of vertical well synthetic seismograms, but the making methods are different. When a horizontal well penetrates formations in inverse bed succession, people must perform the reverse and dip conversion processings of logging curves so as to obtain satisfactory synthetic reflection seismograms which favour stratigraphic division in the horizontal well.
