These proceedings represent papers presented at the 15th International Conference on the Application of Accelerators in Research and Industry, held in Texas, USA, in November, 1998. The Conference was sponsored in part by the United States Department of Energy. A myriad of topics on accelerator applications in research and industry was covered at the Conference. Some of these were: ion beam analysis, Rutherford backscattering analysis, particle induced x{minus}ray emission, nuclear reaction analysis, accelerator mass spectrometry, and activation analysis. Additional topics included radiation processing, tomography, ion implantation, production of radioisotopes for medicine, radiation safety, detectors and spectrometers, non{minus}destructive analysis. The Conference was widely attended by about 900 accelerator scientists from 47 different countries. There were 271 papers presented at the conference,out of which 68 have been abstracted for the Energy,Science and Technology database.(AIP)
