This is the third in a series of reports examining North American gas supply trends, using a simple production forecasting method based entirely on proved reserve estimates and production figures. Assumptions used in the projections and the production evaluation methodology are described. Data are provided on the status of proved reserves (reserve additions, production, and year-end reserves) and on projected gas production in various regions of Canada and the United States. Comparison of supply projections to forecast gas demand leads to conclusions regarding gas prices, gas production, and pipeline capacity.
