BRST quantization of the superstring in background fields

We study the superconformal algebra of the Neveu-Schwarz-Ramond superstring in the background of graviton and antisymmetric tensor fields. The classical Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin charge is obtained and the gravitational Ward identities are presented using the invariance properties of the {ital S}-matrix generating functional.
