The solarsiphon flat plate collector

A flat plate collector incorporating a two-phase thermosiphon as the means of transferring energy collected on a black surface, attached to the thermosiphon, to water passing through a horizontal heat transfer tube located at the top of the collector is described. Thermal performance of the device and application to solar heating systems is discussed.
