Sealed-off CW CO laser with gold electrodes

Experimental study of a sealed-off CW CO laser with gold electrodes and addition of N/sub 2/ in a gas mixture at room temperature is reported. An output power of more than 30 W/m and a conversion efficiency of over 13% are obtained.
