Overview of the EPRI/TVA electric vehicle and battery program
The EPRI/TVA EV program has grown from a small pilot demonstration to a major effort in the testing and evaluation of state of the art electric vehicles, battery systems, battery chargers, and vehicle and battery support systems. Through interactions with both national and international companies and organizations, the EPRI/TVA program has prompted continued advancement within the EV industry. Data from tVA tests have identified vehicles and batteries now being supported in national demonstration and evaluation efforts. The EPRI/TVA program will continue to provide needed data to assist the public, vehicle and battery manufacturers, and the electric utility industry in making informed decisions on the road to EV commercialization.
