Solving QCD using Monte Carlo Renormalization Group method

Conference ·
OSTI ID:6975394
The need for the use of Monte Carlo Renormalization Group method for solving QCD is stressed. MCRG results for the non-perturbaive ..beta..-function and the improved action for SU(3) are presented using the ..sqrt..3 blocking transformation introduced by Cordery, Gupta and Novotny. The existing Monte Carlo results are analyzed to check for scaling in the range of couplings in which the ..beta..-function shows a dip. Finally a status report of MCRG calculations using an improved action is given. 10 refs.
