Title: Kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of styrene with diazoacetic ester in the presence of cobalt phthalocyanine

The kinetics of the catalytic reaction of styrene with diazoacetic ester in the presence of cobalt tetra-4-tert-butylphthalocyanine were investigated. The proposed reaction scheme includes the formation of a complex between the diazoacetic ester and the catalyst, the decomposition of which leads to the production of carbenoid particle. The latter then reacts with the olefin to form cyclopropane derivatives.
