Densities, shear viscosities, refractive indices, and speeds of sound for the mixtures of bis(2-methoxyethyl) ether with hexane, heptane, octane, and 2,2,4-trimethylpentane have been measured in the temperature interval of 298.15--318.15 K. The experimental values of pure liquids and their mixtures are used to calculate the changes in molar volume V[sup E] and deviations in viscosity [Delta][eta] and speeds of sound [Delta][mu] for the mixing processes. These results are fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial relation to estimate the binary interaction parameters. Refractive index results are analyzed using different refractive index mixing rules.
