Measurements of neutron fission cross sections of /sup 237/Np, /sup 240/Pu, /sup 241/Pu, /sup 242/Pu, /sup 244/Pu, and /sup 241/Am at 14. 7 MeV

Neutron fission cross sections of /sup 237/Np, /sup 240/Pu, /sup 241/Pu, /sup 244/Pu, and /sup 241/Am have been measured at 14.7-MeV neutron energy using a different technique. Fission fragments were detected with a silicon detector, and the flux of neutrons on the sample was determined by the standard activation technique using the /sup 27/Al (n,/sup 4/He)/sup 24/Na reaction. The present results are in good agreement with recent measurements reported in the literature.
