This work analyzes the decay of the {tau}, keeping all the final-state leptons on mass shell. Values of the branching ratios for leptonic and major hadronic modes are presented for nonzero values of the mass of the third-generation neutrino. The context of experimental {nu}{sub {tau}} mass limits, both the latest and earlier ones, and the hypothetical second massive {tau} neutrino are discussed.
