This patent describes a tool for setting a packoff between a casing hanger and a wellhead. It comprises: a mandrel having means for connection to a string of drill pipe; a body carried by the mandrel, the mandrel being axially movable relative to the body; a setting sleeve carried by the body for connection to the packoff; a setting sleeve piston carried by the body for movement relative to the body and positioned to contact an upper end of the setting sleeve; a mandrel piston carried by the mandrel for movement therewith; and means located in the body communicating the mandrel piston with the setting sleeve piston and containing a fluid.
