This report identifies the origins, applications, environmental effects, and health effects of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons. Ways to reduce polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PNA) emissions and problems associated with PNA derived effluents in the dye industry are discussed. Finally, various regulatory actions are listed and recommendations are made for further areas of study.
