Planar and light-cone gauges with a causal single-pole prescription

In this paper, the gluon-exchange contribution to the gluon self-energy is computed in the planar and light-cone gauges with the unique single-pole causal prescription. In both cases the result does not satisfy the Ward identity. This could be related to the difference between the numbers of degrees of freedom in configuration and momentum spaces and points out a violation of unitarity in true axial gauges.
