The LEP experiments, with a high statistics of data corresponding to more than two million hadronic [ital Z][sup 0] decays in total, have updated the searches for the Standard Model Higgs boson. No positive signal has yet been found. Combining the results of the four experiments, the lower mass limit of 60.0 GeV/c[sup 2] with more than 95% C.L. has been obtained. Prospects in the future searches at LEP are also discussed.
