The traveler presented an invited paper on fossil energy environmental research at the 6th International Conference on Chemistry for the Protection of the Environment. Invited seminars on advanced biotechnology concepts were presented at the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Genoa and at the Energy Research Center of the National Committee for Nuclear and Alternative Energy. Extensive discussions on bioprocessing applications were also carried out at both institutions.
