Air-emissions-species manual. Volume 2. Particulate-matter species profiles. Final report, August 1986-April 1988
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has several ongoing activities that require speciated volatile organic compounds (VOC) or particulate-matter (PM) profiles from several source categories. Recently, EPA published the Receptor Model Source Composition Library, EPA-450/4-85-002, which contains PM species profiles for several source categories. As part of an effort to update the VOC and PM profile data bases, EPA has initiated several studies. The objective of this study was to evaluate, revise, and update (1) the 1980 VOC Data Manual, and (2) the Source Composition Library. The revised PM-species profile data base is contained in Volume II of the document. The PM profiles were extracted from the Source Composition Library, with minor changes in format to facilitate inclusion of additional information in the profiles. In addition to the PM profiles, Volume II contains profile assignments that link a profile to a source category. For categories where profile data are not available, the profile assignments are based on engineering judgment.
