The licensing process is concerned with all safety aspects related to the siting, construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of nuclear power plants. The applicant/licensee has the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the nuclear power plant and shall be obliged to demonstrate to the regulatory body that this responsibility has been and will be fulfilled.
